Let's see some pics/videos of those beautiful ghost flames and secondaries.
Here's one of ours from the other night.

It’s got a lot of dancing flames too, videos are just too difficult to load.

I understand that, I have to wait until I get on WiFi somewhere to upload the videos.

It took me nearly an hour to upload that video with the speed of our internet here...and I don’t think I’ve embedded it properly either

Yes. Not too bad for a 6 year old cat.

That glowing cat is sipping wood...well...smoke...and in a Princess should be real easy on a wood pile.

Seen a few of these burning (BKK). Mostly seen the cat glowing...if I could see it. Whether the glass is black or not, they just cruise along it seems.

When the by-pass is engaged and the cat is working, does adjusting the bi-metallic control whether or not you see any additional flames? I know you will see them if the cat isn’t engaged. Just wasn’t sure how much control you had of seeing flames once cat is engaged. It’s a little different from adjusting air for a tube stove and the resulting flame show.

I sure do love secondaries low and slow though.

It's ok, I still like it. Keep trying. The camera doesn't do it justice, I know. Ive had some indigo blue flames that were beautiful, but wouldn't show up in The pic.

Next time I will use a real camera not an Ipad camera. And shut the lights off in the living room and use a tripod. I must do this after my bride goes to bed so she doesn’t think I am bat snit crazy. o_O

edit: She already knows I am crazy. :woodsign: Crazy about burning wood.

This isn't quite a blue flame video, but it does show how the cat works. Installed a thermocoupler thru the back of the stove. It's a few inches away from the cat5, so the readings are the temps coming out 0f the cat. Works OK and lets me know what is going on inside.
