I wouldn't say he is a scam artist, he is selling cars. He will be selling those trucks too eventually. a scam artist to me is someone who doesn't deliver on the goods.

I find it hard to believe that 146000 people have placed orders for that ugly monstrosity.

Yes, I agree. These people get to become billionaires on the taxpayer’s dime while we bust our arse to make an extra $5.00 to keep the lights on.

That design is getting a lot of free exposure which equates to free advertising.
It will probably continue to as well.
It wouldn't surprise me if the "failed glass" was a premeditated publicity stunt .

It is an airframe design with little (expensive) bending of the "skin" material.
I think they'll have to paint them though or end up looking like brushed stainless Deloreans .

So, I won't link it, because the whole thing was a marketing stunt that had so many holes in it, but did you see the " tow-off" video Tesla made with a cybertruck vs an F-150?

    They took a 2wd probably a rental 3.3 v6 Ford against a prototype cybertruck 4wd. Well duh....

I always wanted to do that. My brothers use to build carts that were gravity powered; they would scavenge wood and wheels etc. I was too little to get to ride one at the time. They built tracks down the hill to the stream; with a curve at the stream. One time the steering quit and my brother went over into the stream and cut a nasty gash in his knee. Fun times. It is amazing that we all lived to tell the tales.

I am not a car (or truck) guy, but I’ve been waiting for a model 3 with a towing hitch. There is a good chance it was some sort of propaganda, but I saw an article about how combustion fans were parking in the EV charging spots, but that the EV’s actually had more towing capacity, and traction due to those heavy batteries, but that the range suffers under load. The range I am willing to sacrifice since I rarely go than 40 miles in a day. We’ll always have a touring dino burner for sure.
