Just got back from my grand daughters place. Oh boy, i've been cutting down tree's for her and piling brush, all of it is ASH. Today i took the backpack blower out and blew leaves for almost 3 hrs!! Guess what, i'm going to try to talk her into cutting down most of those tree's. All of them are really tall, lots of them can reach the house if they fall, that's not good. And the leaves are almost out of control, lol. I wind rowed and blew them into piles on top of the brush piles i've already got stacked, it took me 3 hrs. I will say this, it made a huge difference in how it looked before, and after. Sorry i blew it, no ipad pictures today. But, it looked pretty good when i left. Boy, what a work out that was.
How are the Ash trees doing by you? Mine were fine, but have now succumbed to the EAB. I'll be cutting all of mine down in the next year. However, if those are healthy trees, let them be.
Most have rot in the center, there are several that have been hit with some thing some time ago, and have chunks knocked out of them. these trees also have some serious splits in them as well. Not to mention all kinds of unfriendly lean angles to deal with. I've thinned enough of them out now that i can kind of pick where i want them to go. But, its still a little on the tight side.
