Cutting a tree made my mother about cry

    I had to limb a flowering crab yesterday. The limbs were dragging on the shingles. So after it was down I made a bouquet of sorts and left it at my mothers house.

    My dad would do the same with lilacs each spring for her when he was alive so she was really happy to see them waiting for her.

    There is a willow at the cottage that I always threatened to cut down and Mom would have a fit! There were too many memories of kids playing is that tree for me to take it away from her....
