Thor, here ya go. Shed full of hardwood blocks and board ends from local pallet mill. Boards are great for early fall and springtime evening fires. Shed #2 firewood is mostly rock oak, sometimes called chestnut oak, which is in white oak family. Good stuff. Since sheds are full, firewood outside is also oak and white ash which are all dead/dying around here in Perry County PA from EAB. Burn between 4 and 5 cords a year, I am 4 years ahead!
Casper - So if you really counted the pieces in the photo, that is 1/2 cord, so 2 x 269 = 538. A little less than my average pieces per cord but I kept some pretty big for "overnighters". You can always split them down. JDU
I think I missed a few, it's a counting app and you have to touch each piece. My fat fingers had a hard time hitting the small pieces in the image.
From my personal experience it always depends on whether you are the buyer or the seller. The most important thing is that in the end all parties agree to the deal .
