    resturant with all kinds of old life things around - don' go there anymore as they consider them antiques and i am still using the same. guess that makes me an antique as well.

    Found this on Ebay about 15 years ago give or take.... New Old Stock 1930's Four Foot Two Man Crosscut originally from rural upstate New York hardware dealer - still has a few spots of dried protective grease (cosmoline) on it.

    Back in early 80's when I started tool collecting & doing tree work/firewood cutting I found a few decent 1 & 2 man 4 & 6 foot crosscuts at local farm/estate auctions.Nice dark patina,very light surface rust with no pitting,most still fairly sharp. Still have a couple hanging,the others in storage.

    Hard to believe but around here they never went more than $3-5 each back then. Now same thing on CL or Ebay can often be $50-100 each,which seems excessive to me considering how many were made for 100+ years & how plentiful they still are. Sorry about the clutter,just ignore it lol
