Sure...I'll update my own recipe request :)

I made this yesterday and it turned out awesome! Highly suggested!

    Italian beef sandwiches

    3lb chuck roast
3 packets of Italian dressing powder mix (1 packet per lb of meat)
    1 cup beef broth
    3 tbsp worshtershire sauce
    Salt
    Pepper
    Garlic powder
    Crusty buns
    Gardinera or pepperocini peppers (optional)

Add broth, worshtershire, and half the seasoning packets to crock and set to high.
Season roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder as desired. Pan sear for 7 mins or so on each side, then transfer to crock. Dump remaining seasoning packets on top of meat.

Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or until you can shred it. Shred with 2 forks, then cook for another 1hr.

Top sammy with pepperocini peppers, or hot gardinera.

    Soooooooo gooooooooood!

Made this right in the cast iron I seared the beef in instead of the crock pot, man is that good.

    DaveGunter,
    Your dogs are the best!!!
You must be a good "alpha male" for the pack. Because they all know who's the boss. My wife and I get the biggest laughs of the expressions that you capture from them.

I'm convinced DaveGunter could make his dogs sit on a hot fire. Glad you liked the beef!

Not sure how many are in your family but my boyfriend just picked up this. I recommend digital timer slow cookers for anyone. It's great to not have to worry about rushing home to get the meal. The 4qt is good for 1-2 people. Crock-Pot® Smart-Pot® 4-Quart Digital Slow Cooker, Silver, SCCPVP400-S
