I forgot about your trailer excursion. How many times have you used one?

Peppermint. First time I’ve heard of that as a fuel for warmth. Gonna have to google that one. Does the neighborhood smell like a Girl Scout cookie while burning it?
It’s nice they just let the people in to clean up. Getting rare over here. Permits and fees are our governments answer to everything.

Once! Maybe again this summer, if WeldrDave has more wood to offer.

I like the swing set frame use... My wife has a couple of those stashed over by the barn, I may have to confiscate them... LOL

 If she grumbles I'll just blame you guys...

Maybe a dumb question...Can the burnt out Eucalyptus forests still possibly be used for firewood? Seemed like I saw a lot of pictures with the poles still standing after the fire had gone through? I guess I should also ask...is Eucalyptus good for firewood?

Not a dumb question at all mate. Yes you can use the wood for firewood only thing is it is a lot messier and the burnt bark knocks the edge off the saw a lot quicker. There are heaps of different Eucalypts and I haven’t found any that don’t burn well (some are heavier and denser and burn hotter and longer). Most eucalypts grow back after the fires unless it’s been super hot and kills the tree.

This wood here has had a fire through in recent years, not exactly sure when but they do controlled burns to eliminate ground fuel. You can still see the trees are a bit black.

The Berringa bushfire burnt trough that area in on the 25th and 26th of February 1995. It was a particularly bad fire.

Do the controlled burns kill all the Gympie Gympie types of underbrush that have mechanisms to try to kill you, or at least make you wish you were ?

    Ford Everest, right?

Midwinter, you should be able to get something similar from Ford, at least on the same chassis here in the states pretty soon. It's going to be very popular and have a recognizable look though.;)

Yes it’s an Everest. The wagon version of the ranger.

Nice thought, but this 64 year old homebody probably couldn't do justice to its capabilities. Plus, it may cost as much as a truck.

I'm talking about the new Ford bronco. It's supposed to start at not quite stupid costs ( 2 door, 4 door and eventually a pick up as well) and there's also a baby bronco/ bronco sport which will be less $, but the baby bronco will be not based on the Everest chassis.
