I was wondering if Lidl, also German owned, was going to get into this conversation. "They" have been teasing that one will be opening in my town for about three years. Does anyone have any local in the states?

I hate Aldi, but my anger is misplaced. Gander Mountain opened up near me and made it 9 months before the company restructured. Aldi spent 6 months refurbishing the outside, but you can still tell it was a Gander. I drive by it daily on my way to work. We have a ton of grocery stores and very few hunting, fishing, and outdoor stores. Don't even get me started on the lack of saw shops...

Have to throw my two cents in the mix here! We have an Aldi's store in every town around here. I LOVE Aldi’s!!! I prefer their brand to most others wether it be name brand or store brands, Aldi’s is the shizzz! And I’ve tried it ALL, every brand of everything LOL They also have a lot of specialty items and hard to find things from other countries. I give them an A++! Now i gotta happy dance cuz by golly I’m just so excited!:banana::banana: ~Lissa
