I don’t sell six month age wood since I’ve been a cutting and splitting fool since September of last year and that wood was timbered in Feb-April. I just like to split open various aged wood to read the moisture levels for reference. In order to sell any of my red oak or hickory, I have to pull my white oak ad off CL for a week or two. Don’t really understand why hickory isn’t my best seller since it is the highest in BTUs.

We’re certainly having good wood drying weather in Ct right now. Hot and no rain. Might dry it out in six days :)

I was just thinking the same. Mowed near my stacks today and you can smell the moisture. Mine's top-covered so the rain we are getting isn't affecting me a whole lot.

I processed some red maple in June and happened to check on it yesterday. I swear it’s dry enough to burn already, and will definitely be ready by this winter.

Same here in south Jersey. 18 out of the last 20 days has been 90+ with virtually no rain. 20 mph winds today too.

The Beech and Black Birch I’ve been processing is coming out of the logs almost dry enough to use. Rare to see horizontal logs dry like that. While we have some pop up heat showers in Ct so far all of them have skirted just to the North or South of me. I’ve mowed my lawn twice this summer. Even the weeds are dying :) Some of the leaves on the trees are beginning to yellow already.
