Nice! Is it easy Pickens? Easy hauling? Close to home? I’ve been getting a few more scrounges like that since I posted a CL firewood wanted add, but I can always use.more!

I can literally drive up the driveway to about 2 cords stacked. The rest I’ll drive around the edge of his back grass where the other trees have been dropped but not cut up. I’d rate it about a 9 on the easy scale- 10 would be if the wood loaded itself!

It must have been real as it is already deleted "by author".

    How good was it?

If I was closer I’d be on my way. People pay a ton of money for reclaimed lumber.

It's mostly oil soaked 4" yellow pine floor boards. The white paint is likely lead based paint. The beams have been picked out. They used to give the bricks away free but lately they've wanted $$ for them. They stack them on pallets to sit for years waiting for buyers.
I've had a couple guys tell me they'll 'take' the beams out of a garage I'm demoing - after I've demoed. Anything over 4x4. If I put them aside - in good shape.
Yeah, OK, I'll call you. Stay by the phone.

I was recently at a fancy reclaimed lumber yard with a buddy. Stuff that looked exactly like what is in that pic was going for 6$+ a linear foot.

Same thought about the lead based paint when I saw some of those boards.

But, a generation lived through it already!
