It's also relisted items (even though they are old), they list as new. Not just "New" posts. It's all posts, even the old ones that people relist every 6 hrs.

 

Because they relisted. It doesn't say NEW, but of you remember the posts? You'll see they were the same from earlier or yesterday.

People relist stuff all the time. That's a NEW post on CL. But your phone recognized it from before (as should you) and it's not Noted as New. But it's higher up on the list again? Therefore relist.

 

It's new... Just doesn't have NEW on it. Because it's RELISTED.


We are not talking about the same thing. That's why there is "Gaps" between the NEW posts. Relisted items are seen as new because they take the items to the top of the actual CL page. So it is new. Even if it has been listed 100 times.

 

Just like this thread of yours. Every new post, takes it to the the top of the page. When people relist it, your phone registered it as "going to the top" only reason you don't see "new" is because the phone also registered that item as viewed.

It does that at the very top of the page and also if you scroll down the page (stuff older than 45 days) you get into "surrounding areas". Same thing applies there. So there may only be 11 new up top (and 34 relisted) and then 60 in surrounding areas (both new and relisted).
