Clutch has to come off also, no tools I have fit it, have to come up with a 'red neck' tool. Still thinking about that. Perhaps I'll take a pic of the clutch so I can solicit some ideas. This old girl is NOT going to beat me!

OK, figured out how to get the clutch off, used an adjustable pin spanner like on motorcycle wheel bearings on old Brit motorcycles. Real long handle with adjustable jaws and 3-8mm pins, worked like a charm. This old Roper is actually built quite well, no plastic parts. Once clutch is off 5 screws and off comes the tank. Tank side of the fuel line was completely rotted away, so much goo in the bottom of the tank that the filter was glued to the bottom of the tank! Tank now in water and Purple Power for about an hour. Then about 25 minutes to put her back together and she is ready to run. Saw will run using an alternative fuel tank, so this one will be outta here today!
