Wood can be found fairly cheap here on Long Island but it looks like the warm weather and low oil prices are putting downward pressure on the already low prices. Multiple sellers advertising cords for $150 and 2 cords for $260. Anyone else seeing any price reductions?
If you buy your wood and have room to store it, buy low and start to hoard and get a few years ahead. That way you will know if the wood you burn is truly seasoned.
I don't buy at this point and am not in need but sorta wish I was. At those prices it's hard to beat. Wish I had a way to stock up on fuel oil while I was at it.
