Converting a Horizontal/ Vertical splitter to a push-through style

    Those two beam sizes are in the 10" flange width class. A- W 8 x 48 or 58 keeps the thickness, but decreases width to 8-1/4" or so. Just a thought.
    edit- also, an end plate locking top/bottom flanges together will help . Should help spread the stress from just the web to both flanges.

    Yes, there needs to be more beef. That flexes way too much.
