I hope everyone is doing well it’s been over a year, my health has had me really down and out! Since last winter the bearings in the convection motor like to squeal every once in a while, and then it will quiet down. I know it’s only a matter of time before it gives up. I want to order one and have it here for when the fan motor goes. The cheapest I can find is $300.00! Anyone know of any place else that is cheaper! Enviro M55, VF55 & Regency GC60 Convection Blower 80MM (50-2481)
Last but not least you all love seeing a pellet stash, he is part of mine I just had delivered Monday!

Quick search on Amazon for Enviro Part # 50-2481
Shows one available at $229 (Prime so free shipping)

Might be able to cross reference it to an industrial supplier like Grainger or McMaster Carr.
I've never looked so Good Luck,

You ever oil it?Even if the rubber mounted bushing,at the non motor end,can sometimes be made to last quite a while, even if the hole is worn.

Hi. Sorry to hear about your health challenges. 229 is the best price I've seen. fyi you can replace the bearings on the fan; I've done mine twice. If you include the end w/ the rubber seal, you will need 3 bearings - 2 for the motor, one for the opposite end. Might be worth changing bearings in the old fan and keeping it as a backup.

To be honest I never attempted to oil it with the mindset of it being sealed bearings!

I will have to look at it, and see if that’s something I can do, would be nice to have a backup. Where do you buy your bearings?

Bearings are 608 -2Z; I purchased SKF explorers for approx. $4 ea off of ebay. These are metal shielded; some folks have used the rubber shielded bearings in convection fans w/ no trouble. The first time I ordered thru NAPA, but they were very pricey!

Hi everybody! I recognize names from another forum; wondered where everyone had gone...

Today it was torn down, and found the bad bearing! Problem I do not have a small enough puller, so I’m going to check the local machine shops! The assembly is almost 300 dollars, so a bearing would be a heck of a lot cheaper! Anyone know where I could find this rubber bushing that the bearing sits in?

I've always had good luck for parts at "Pellet Stove Parts 4 Less". It's on line, never had a delivery issue.

Don't think you'll find that part there. It might be a MFR. part only.

Keep us posted! My fan will occasionally make some noise on start up. I think I even started a thread about it awhile back.

I appreciate you posting the pictures. Gives a good idea of what things look like when the fan is removed from the stove.

Ok last update, took the blower assembly to the machine shop, the bearing was shot. Had the bearing replaced, fired up the stove same darn noise. It has to be something in the motor itself. It is intermittent, and primarily does it on a cold start. When it does act up it sounds like the squeal you get from the wear indicators on brake pads, stove has been up and running, and I will just replace it when it finally dies. Ty all for your help!

You only replaced the bearing on the end of the wheel? The motor looks like a Ebm Papst, which also has replaceable bearings.

I had the motor separated from the squirrel cage, but I did not see a bearing in that end. I only replaced the bearing opposite the motor. Strong possibility that I missed something. Hmm now I am wondering!

There was also some of those stoves that made noise on startup, and was blower wheel hitting a piece of sheet metal.
