    IIRC it's due to increased performance due to better draft from double wall.

    Here's a picture of mine.....................the tile behind the stove is attached to 1/4"durock over the sheetrock. I used the durock screws and construction adhesive to attach it.

    From the face of the tiles, to the back of the rear heat shield, is right at 12" in my set up. The back wall will get warm...............not hot. The floor tiles to the sides of my stove get much warmer than the rear wall. Most of the heat from the 13 comes out the glass and the top. The tiles on the floor in front of the stove door get quite hot..................I can keep my hand on them though................not burning hot!!!

    That's actually a dogs head facing my 13NC. It's part of the whole table....................picture to follow.

    I see it clearly now, but if you were to take a quick glance of the pic, and you didn't know it was a dog's head sticking ABOVE the table, there appear to be two eyes and a mouth full of gnarly teeth looking atcha.....
    Didn't you ever see stuff in the clouds papadave :rofl: :lol:?
