The GB on my 064 is a 20. I have three Carlton timber champ 13" .325 bars, one of them is going on the quake. I just had the chain sized for the 13" yesterday, about an hour before you said you wanted a 15" cant  . Sabotage I tell ya (jk)!
You guys can do whatever you want, but a 10" cant would be perfect for the quake shootout, if you want you could make it a two pass run. Time starts when chain hits wood, single pass followed by an upcut on the same time. I don't care either way, whatever you decide to do is ok with me. Just let me know what its going to be and I will accommodate.

I forgot about you Mike. If you want to do a quake, I will send it out later when I have to go to the post office. Whatever you would like to do is ok with me. I can cut the base on it before I send it out if you decide you want to do it, doesn't matter to me either way. They are pretty cool little saws! The cylinder bolts are some kind of torx, Dexterday would know. (T25 I am guessing, and I don't have it).

We could do 10" Cants. I was thinking that would be better anyway.

Ported 50cc saws are going to love 10" cants but I couldn't resist trying it in 15"......

If you get to it set the squish at .018". I don't think it would hurt. On that size bore you could run 200 lbs plus.

I wish the first one I did was that tight stock! I had .044-.048 AFTER removing the base gasket. :loco:

I had 200psi on that saw, I wonder if the squish was set to a proper .020 or less, if I could have raised the exhaust and transfers for even more power. It ran pretty strong on just widening the intake/exhaust and the gasket delete (like stock MS250 strong) but I have a feeling there is a LOT more umph to be had from one of these. Somebody who knows what's up would probably be able to turn it into a real monster.

Yeah with more compression to work with you can go higher on the exhaust.

Not sure there is enough carburetor on these to see big gains from fingers. But it would be fun to find out!

I don't think they would hurt if you didn't get hog wild, but I don't know. I will agree that this saw could benefit from a larger carb though, and I am going to do some digging tonight. I haven't grinded on one yet, but have been impressed with how mine runs so far.

Actually, I think it's the opposite. The 45, 52, and 58 cc all have the same carb. So if anything, the venturi is large for that size saw. Now compare it to a comparable size saw? And it may be small? But based on the 3 saws that all have that platform, it's the smallest.
