Yea I guess I dont think to go back after its been seen. In my mind I guess I sometimes think others will see the corrected version and all the banter over something not there. That confuses me when stuff is changed like that. But you have the zapping ability so you can take care of that.

Popup? Does that refer to the shape of the piston dome?

The practice of shaping the piston (usually on a lathe) so that it extends into the combustion chamber, shrinking it and thereby raising the effective compression ratio.

Hey I recognize that picture! :) That one is actually a welded popup, on the extreme side of things. That was in a saw I bought, and I took it out and replaced it with a standard piston. I actually gauged that one at .100", and cut it down to .065 or something like that and sold it. It made ridiculous compression... Well, well into the 200's

You mean work on the competition's saw?  Ya, why not:cool:. I didn't build mine for the competition, just how I wanted it to run how I thought it needed to. I will probably end up taking the brake handle off of it and using it solely for carving with a 3/8lp setup on it... not exactly sure yet. I have another one that has never been out of the box I am saving for a rainy day too :).

No biggie. I will be around all this week, just let me know when you want to meet up. I can prob fit it cross ways in the back of my car. I will try to get some lathe stock lined up for your jug too.

I don't know if I messed up or not guys... I threw a 3/8 square ground chain from my 262XP on the quake, and it makes some chips but is just too much chain. I solely planned on using .325, but I didn't get around to swapping bars and chain around tonight, and nothing do me but to wait til the last minute. I don't have a 7t .325 rim, only an 8 and chances are I wont get it to slip on the rim and will be too short

Is any one of you guys running Stihl PS or PS3 chain? I would really, really like to see how it does on my saw tomorrow. I am sure some of ya's have some trucks up your sleeves ;)

We missed you at the GTG Ironpony. But look forward to meeting you in the future sometime.

We had a great time and MasterMech's 52 cc model was the fastest Chinese saw. I forget the time (I have them all, but don't have them uploaded yet). Followed by Carbines (running full 3/8" chain. That saw would have won had it had piccolo or even .325. Was a strong runner) followed by my turd of 58 cc machine. :)

Just wanted to fill you in and let you know the outcome. I have some pics I will try and post up later of us running them and also the times.

If ya want bro, we can lower that cylinder some. She might snap up when we break the 200psi mark  (but I don't think your saw looked bad), there were definitely some decent knots in that piece of wood. I am going to get back into mine and make a tweak. I had that 13" .325 bar and chain here at the house, but no 7t .325 sprocket. I had an 8 pin, and left it here at the house. I screwed around til the last minute and didn't want to swap anything around again. I had a blast at the gtg, you guys are the salt of the earth. I don't think I could have had a better time.

Very glad you came Carbine, the Chinese units were fun if not fast and I had a blast running my big Homie thanks to you. I think I am going to take your advice on getting a bar for that one. ;)
