And so it begins...

 

Exhaust port is 17.5mm wide. The bore is 36mm. Target width is 23.4mm, which is 65% of bore. Im also aiming for 110° on Exhaust opening.

 

Exhaust and intake roughed in.

 

All ports are at my desired size, shape and degrees. I still need to polish the exhaust port and hand sand the port chamfers. Phone cameras sure make things look like a 5 year old went after it with a rasp. Lol

 

Looks good, my friend. I'm sure you will get some nice gains from that.

 

I want to try that one of these days.

 

Find a cs310, 370 or 400 if you want an easy to work on, reasonably priced saw to practice on. I'll try and walk you through what I know best I can. On the phone if you want. I manage without a 90° grinder too.

 

I have a cs352 i bought new several years ago. Probably only has about 10 tanks through it.

That's probably pretty similar.

 

I think it's the exact same as a 310 except a couple cc bigger.

No. I like it pretty well. It's like new.

 

I don't blame you. I wouldn't sell it either. I should have kept my 310, but, it's back home now.

 

Have you done any modifications? A good muffler gutting and the carb limiters removed for proper tune really wake them up.

 

I drilled the cat out after the first time I ran it because it got so hot. I didn't open it up any but I did remove the limiters.

 

That's a good start.

 

Exhaust port on the cs310 is as polished as it's going to get. Reassembly is underway.
