Lots of overcast here yesterday. Kinda cooler but it was on the high side of melting point all day-thats good. Day is starting out bright and sunny here too!
I rechooched last night's fire with a piece of beech and a short chunk of elm. It was 33° at 7:30 this am, and now 38° at 8:30. 68 in the house, furnace is quiet.
Lit a small fire this morning to take the chill off. Looks like we'll need one tonight but then it starts warming up again outside so no doubt we'll have few fires next week.
Just got back from doing a little shopping with the wife and then a stop at Lowe's for a few small projects. 43 outside and stove just lit and as I am typing this, heard the boiler thermostat click to come on. 30 overnight then sunny and mid 60's tomorrow......see some mid 70's for the upcoming week.
Small overnight fires the past two nights. 42F going into the 20's tonight. Windy today, but Sun at least. Small load of Pine burning now.
Haven't had a fire since last Monday. Got up this morning to 41° outside and 62° inside. Since it's only going up to 57° today, I decided to light one up to take the overnight chill from the air. It's going down to 37° tonight so I'll keep a low fire burning throughout the day. 70's and 80's the rest of the week so this may be the last fire of the season here.
32 here and ash in the stove. If the weather man is correct I'd say this is the last fire in the momma bear. My parents started using a momma bear in 1979, salute! Woodstock ideal steel is on its way! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looked at forecast this morning and they now predict we may hit 80 for the high Tuesday. It is not often we see 80 this early in the season. Usually it is after the middle of May before we see that high. But it is sort of what we expected with the prolonged cold then often it warms up fast.
WS been cold for weeks, had the pellet going most the day today though. Chit ton of rain, temps down and damp. Maybe snow tonight.
37 and rain with chunky white rain mixing in inch or 2 of white by morning.. I am burning wood it was 60 in house.. BS.. 77 and climbing
Temps outside 38 and raining weatherman says chance of snow but if he’s right tonight might be the last fire for the season. Ash and birch in the stove for the night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We had a fire this morning with lows in the low 30's. The forecast is for 80 tomorrow so today may have been our last fire for the season. Wife thinks it is time to maybe replace our 35 year old Earth Stove with something newer this summer. We have begun looking.
Snow anywhere else this time of year means not here for me!!!!!!!! (I still have not put away the snow shovels/snowblower)
Should see some 70's this week maybe. Rain and storms on the schedule also. The yard here is about 1/3 left of snow. Managed to put up the new clothesline rope today, but stood in snow at each end while tying it off! Could've been much worse though!
