Warming up slowly at night after low teens. Expecting 17°F tonight. Been burning every night here for a week. Pellet handled the chill for short bursts.

Got up to +61°F here this afternoon. Currently at 51° .
No fire in the stove. Still 4" of solid ice in the driveway under the slush and water.

I gotta get a piece of equipment to cut the frozen snow when I plow in the winter. Skid steer , dozer, loader or rubber tired backhoe. The 4 wheeler just ain't heavy enough.
We could still get some cold weather this winter. I'll consider that spring has started, the first night it doesn't go below 32° F.

Dropped down to 9 (as of right now) but I'm thinking it'll drop a couple more before the day starts.

Sky was just too clear last night to stay warm......

About 26 when I got up about 5:30. Maple and a piece of what looks like Beach in the boiler.

Stupid weather. Shawn Curry was right. This is the 100th day of January and it looks and feels like it too.

I just looked and a year ago today we hit 77 degrees!!!! Yet, that was not the record either. We'll be lucky to hit 40 today, the same as it has been for too long. Plus more snow last evening and then again more overnight. Not enough to push around but enough to make it crappy out there.

29 here and the usual, Oak & Maple doing their thing. Still drying the clothes by the stove, instead of out on the deck in the sun. The high note in this this, a friend just told me this AM he has a truck load of storm damaged limbs all cut, just come and get it. Cha ching, I'll be there soon!:woodsign::stacker:

This was what my ride into work this AM looked like:

    3ED14BC2-8618-4DF1-9915-CB2FB967D494.jpeg

It’s like clockwork - we get the exact same weather about 12 hours later. The weather app on my phone didn’t show any snow. I should just ask Backwoods Savage how it looks at his place instead.

Oh, it’s 35 out now and all the snow is gone. Pine in the stove.

77°, we might get rain today. There's heavy storms just to the north of us. But it hasn't hit us yet.

I'll burn some rum later today.

Was -10 C or 14 F less than an hour ago, and now sitting at -6 C or 21 F and a 6 mph wind on top. Supposed to hit a high of +4 C or about 38 F, so hopefully spring is here.

Ended up dropping down to 7 this morning.

Next big "weather event" will be this weekend. Supposed to get lots and lots of snow. Lots! Give it a couple more days to be sure of amounts though.

Another night of mid teens. Burned a load of birch last night. Getting down to stuff i threw aside because it was ugly or didn't fit. Looks like a warm-up starts today a bit.

I'll be beach and poolside today. Supposed to be in the upper 70's. I plan on getting a bit more tan, and hopefully not burning any skin. Sun screen at the ready.

20F this morning. Maple with a peace of something that resembles Oak in the boiler this morning.

Good for you Horkn . Enjoy it. You are going to miss this 20F weather we are having in the morning up here, but we will hold down the forts in the North.
