Mid 20's now, high 30's today. Loading up the Buck shortly before we head to worship the Lord that blessed us with this warm home and plenty of firewood.

Another cold morning but the sun is shinning. On a happy note, I only see 2 places in MI that are below zero.

Thanks. Looking forward to it! There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to. This time of the year I'm going to like running it slow and steady. It was 77 in the house last night, I fell asleep with windows open and woke up to 65 and a pizzy wife!

    39ºF outside here.
Looks like a fairly chilly day for a lot of folks today: Full Screen Weather

Pine and oak being consumed by the fire device.

One or two days of still cold and then it looks like a warm-up of sorts is forecast.
    Would be nice !

Teens again overnight, red oak and white pine in the tank. All I need is some blue beech and I'd have a very patriotic fire going!

Ready for spring. ...Any day now, right?

The absolute very last of my seasoned white oak. :-( Busted 'em up to fit in the stove.

I bet those cookies burn hotter than a black top road in Phoenix on a summer day.

saskwoodburner, I think spring has left your area...... brutal,,, best of luck with summer coming around. I heard someone call this season sprinter since it cant quite get to spring. I had the worst blizzard snow drive of the year last night. I was exhausted when I got home. A stiff Rye helped things though. Im afraid we may be in for one heck of a flood season in the Canadian Rockies if we dont start melting some of this snow.... Its melted a bit in the valley bottom but you go up just a bit and the snow pack is still building! Larch in the stove again tonight.

Sask, I do really feel for you. I am all to familiar with down to 30 below ambient in the mornings in April. You'll have to bust some extra yotes, wolves and bear this spring and summer to help out the deer and moose.

27f with 5.5 inches of fresh snow. Finally used up most of my softwood on the porch. Didn't feel like suiting up in the storm for a armload from outdoors so I went to my backup basement rack. Full load of Oak this AM. Finally got to the good stuff April 9th:picard:
