High 20s here, pine in the machine. Will add some walnut and half a wheelbarrow more of pine for the overnight.

Looks like we're down to 3-5" forecast for the next round of snow, with some 40s following early next week. Hoping my uglies pile melts clear enough to use soon.. getting pretty close to next year's stash here!

Was +8°F this morning at 7:45 . Clear as a bell. Got up to the low 30s with a north wind of 10 mph + .
Currently in the mid 20s still clear . poplar in the stove.
I wouldn't be surprised if it got to 0 by morning.

Somewhat chilly out. 27° now. Burning elm, sugar maple, beech, and basswood in different combos for hotter longer fires at night.

I havent been around much the last couple of days so just skimmed the last four pages. Im seeing some cold in places out east being reported by some members. Pretty boring around here. typical early spring weather of freeze, thaw, repeat, add some snow, melt some snow. Still sinking deep when walking off pavement but the sun is starting to do its thing!. Pine in the stove right now at 0c/32f.

Not a problem. We want our eastern friends to enjoy winter, even though it is now spring.

That wind was cold yesterday and today promises to be a repeat. Sure will be happy when it warms and it does look like we will be in the 50's soon.

Did not put much wood in stove last night so had to light an almost cold stove this morning. Not much of anything for coaling but the rock was still warm. It's cooking with some ash now.
