Thanks! It's a Valcourt Cartier. Seems to work pretty well. I think the regular stoves put of more heat, but this is what looked right. There was a regular heat sucker there and we replaced it with this.

I wish I had some good knotty western hemlock to burn here. Red Alder would be even better.

Our heat wave has moderated. Yesterdays daytime high was in the high 30s here at the cabin.
Got so warm today I had to open the winter grille cover on the 8 at work.
    Currently +12°F .
    Poplar in the stove .

35* at the moment here, and we are getting our heat from Hard & Soft Maple. The front porch wood boxes are empty, it's time to go refill them.

I fell asleep before my evening reload last night and since it was mild out I thought I would just let the stove go cold. Its mild this morning as well at -4c/25f. A cold stove gave me a good chance to scoop out some coals and wipe down the glass. I now have a top down pine fire going. Have a great day everyone!

Some kind of weird system blowing in. Our temp will drop hourly all the way from now until 9-10 AM tomorrow. Some wind and blowing snow followed by the arctic cold front sob. Currently -3 C feels -10 C, or 26 F feels 15 F. Oh well, easy come, easy go, was nice to not have to wear socks for a bit.:D
