Sounds like a perfect scenario, cutting trees and running an owb! Sort of like getting paid twice, right? What boiler are you running? 20s here and supposed to stay that way for a while. No complaints here - red maple and walnut doing their thing, with a little pine to keep them company.
Got weird weird weather here. The wind picked up to 30 miles an hour minimum an inch of snow in the last 40 minutes. It's not cold probably 20 degrees but that wind is just howling. So cranking up the wood stove burning Ash and Poplar
My wife went down the driveway to get our daughter from cheerleading. She turned around and came back and got me to bring them both. It's a straight-on blizzard out here. My wife is not normally skittish I mean she drives a Subaru with studded snow tires. Thankfully it was only 5 miles round-trip. With three cars off the road.
Heading below zero tonight, high of maybe 1 tomorrow with an even deeper dip below zero tomorrow night. You guys downstate, better pull up your bloomers!
earth :: a global map of wind, weather, and ocean conditions Type in your co-ordinates and hit the Enter -Return Key. That should center the map on your place. Exit to hold your place. After a relatively warm day yesterday and overnight, looks like the colder weather is coming. Looks like maybe 4" snow this weekend.
Doesn't look too nice out there now with the wind and snow. We're at -5 with a feel of -25. Should be a fun drive today, but 99 lbs is joining so if I get stranded, at least I'll stay warm!!!
Low to mid 30's today and pretty mild, into the 40's these past few daze. Been burnin' soft maple, mostly. Temps dropping into single digits tonight, gonna' break out the hardwoods again.
Oh, it's been a good match. Cut down a dead ash and a cherry on Monday. Gonna be in the stove by the end of the week. I'm running a 1993 Hardy H4. Not the most efficient stove, but it is a sound design and keeps chugging. Heating 3500 sq ft or so between my house and garage. Mid 30's last night, with 40's for a high today. Gonna see a dip in temp once evening sets in. I running a mix of wet red oak and seasoned beech/ash/chestnut.
