Haha, not that cold right now for here. This is a classic normal low for this time a year. First of the year was colder than it was in decades. We didn't even hit 40 today. Mid 30s maybe

I think we hit 24 today, going down to 19.
Was gone a good chunk of the day, and the wall furnace was running when I got home about 5. Knew I should have put more wood in the stove this morning. :headbang:
Should be easy enough to have a warm-ish house by morning in these temps.
High tomorrow should be 31. The gravity inducing skating rink should be here shortly after.:picard:Golly gee, I'm soooo looking forward to that. :dancer:That's not dancing, it's me trying to avoid the inevitable azz crushing fall.:pain:

Yep. It was used quite a bit the last billing cycle and the bill only went up about $30.

I'm thinking it's a pic pulled off the interweb showing a freeze up in a mechanical room. Pity that job.

You must have piped natural gas?

If I just let my heat pump run a tad bit here and there my bill would easy be another $50. My neighbors burn 24/7 also and still use like $200 of propane a month.

31F. Probably gonna throw a few pieces of pine on the coals to spike the house temp, then let it go until morning.

I like the N Fermi balaclava. The next one down leaves too much skin exposed for extreme cold windchill.
The other thing most of us wear for wind or extreme cold. Goggles.
At 45 below ambient, if there is any breeze or if its dead calm but your walking . Your eyes will tear . And the tears will freeze your eyes closed when you blink. No joke. I've froze contact lenses to my eye balls more than a few times.
