Up to 59° here this afternoon. Been getting some yard work done. Moved all the pallets outside of the fenced in yard and back to where the wood is piled for next year. Began making the long rows of pallets for the wood to be stacked on.

We had most of the snow & ice melt off certain parts of the trail so tonight the chains came off the Rhino.

42° this morning here. With little, to no heat demand, it doesn't take long to heat the boiler and big tank up now. Mainly have to keep the hot water heater hot.

Right where I want to be.
No fire last night, and woke to 36°.
House was 60°, so I got a load of small Oak and Maple splits going. Just added a couple larger pieces of Pine to finish things off.
House is now almost 69°, so this might be it for the day.........Cloudy and a little windy.
    Wood use is way down.
Did my shed layout for next winter's wood loading yesterday. It'll probably get changed at least once before I start loading though.:):headbang:

We never did a fire last night, the outside temp this morning was 48 - 50. So when we were having coffee, I ask the wife do you want a fire, she said yes, (remember I can't keep my mouth shut) what rolls out of my mouth, it's a waste of firewood, I deserved the look she gave me.

Fairly cold this morning in the low 30's. A fire for 1-1/2 hours in the morning before work will keep the house in decent shape for the day. Ash and a little White Pine churnin.

Thank you for sharing your advanced knowledge master. [IMG]I will remember KYMS.

Suppose to be pretty cool out tonight. Low 30s, maybe even high 20s. I started the boiler at 8 tonight and it was already cold. The big tank was even cold enough that the oil boiler turned on. :zip: Can't be havin that!

30° on the back porch this morning. Clear and the sun is coming up and shining brightly. Should be the nicest day of the week here. There has been a lot of clouds and some rain. And they will be back on Friday and Saturday. Ash and a little Maple in the boiler this morning.

Just under 30 this morning so we had a Cherry fire in the Liberty. This coming week sounds like a chitty one for the first four days, maybe the weather forecast will change.

Not getting very warm yet. It is still April though. Suppose to go to 30 tonight as well. I have a little less than half a load in the boiler burning right now. All the family had showers tonight and there will be a slight heat demand overnight.

Right at 30° again this morning. Ash burning in the boiler. Sun is up and looks like another great day to work outside!

With all the snow and rain this year, it should make for a bad tic season.

Looks like the Weather Channel says 1/4" tonight and some more tomorrow. Doesn't say how much for tomorrow though.
