Good. That doesn't look like it is going to get worse then. If I am reading that correctly. There have been a lot of ships on the St. Lawrence. They have had to make them wait their turn just after the ice broke up. A few problems already I guess. Don't want more.
This won't help, coming this way. http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/radar.php?rid=buf&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=no
It was about 37 this morning so I loaded up the Liberty with Cherry. Today looks like it will be a wet day, just starting raining about twenty minutes ago.
Ya. That is close to what it was here. Burning some Ash and a little Pine in the boiler. I am almost to the point of being able to turn the boiler off for most of the day and night, after I get it and the 400 gallon tank heated up in the morning, and again before bed. But, it looks like it is getting cold on Tuesday and Wednesday nights . Low of 23°? Dam!
21 Tuesday night and 16 Wednesday night. Rather hard to believe. It is a pleasant Spring day hear, cloudy with breaks of sun, warm, the snowdrops are in bloom, Lycoris and Daffodils, Bloodroot and scilla, crocus and tulips pushing through the earth. 70 in the house. Had a very small fire for a few hours last night - just twigs, small branches and a 3 inch split of maple. That is what I am hoping to be able to burn going forward, though may need a bit more with T/W night forecast temps. Supposed to be sunny one day, so that will warm the house. Calling for thunderstorms Monday night. They will be our first of the year. We get some doozies here.
We just hit 70 which feels great, hopefully with this warmer weather for two days with the rain moving in we'll lose the snow and ice.
Color me jealous. 9 deg. and dropping. 8" of heavy snow on the ground and more falling. Another month to go at least. I are bummed.
Well I bet it's beautiful out there in the summer It's going to cool down a little here, 18 Tues night
69 right now, going to get a little chilly on Tuesday. Shouldn't be bad, I'm looking forward to firing the stove up anyway.
I think the Oswegatchie went up in 24-36 hours. And with these temps, and rain coming, it is going to go up some more.
Boiler turned on and running to heat itself up. I will shut it down in a little bit after it is up to temp. Looks like about 49° or so now.
Just under 1.5 inches of rain for our area that comes in about a 24 hour period, looks like the Rivers and the Brooks/Creeks will be up even more. Here's the mess coming this way. http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/centgrtlakes.php
It was about 40 this morning, no fire last night so the stove is cold. I see they backed off the rain totals, from just under 1.5 to 1.18, not much but we'll take it.
80º yesterday, 65º now, 40º tomorrow . Haven't burned in 2 weeks. Grabbed some Honey Locust uglies off the wood stacks and will light my last fire tomorrow
High 30s here early. One short fire of Ash this morning. After the heating up of boiler and tank last night it did not turn on to burn all night. Getting warm already. Supposed high of 75 today? Then down to 23 Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Over 50 degree change in just over 24 hours. Should be "interesting". Especially when rain turns to _ _ _ _ !
I guess if you're driving after it drops belowing freezing it could get slick. Tuesday we have a high of 51/low of 14, Wednesday 33 / low of 16.
