It's about 12 degrees with a load of Cherry, tonight we'll load it with some Sugar Maple & Beech that we saved for the colder nights, -23 with the windchill.
Supposed to go to single digits here tonight and to think it was 63 yesterday at 4 pm. Wind is whipping here and I have a stove full of sugar maple and walnut.
Down to 0° on the back porch with wind. Boiler is chugging away smoothly eating White Ash and White Pine. I don't know for sure how much snow we have because the wind has/is blowing it around so much. I just walked out and started the Bobcat to let it warm up and it looks like there is close to a foot! How much did you guys get?
13 degrees here, 71 in the house and on the tail end of a 14 hour burn with white and red oak. Thank goodness all the snow stayed slightly North of us and we got less than an inch! My wife will be loading up the stove in the next hour or two with more red and white oak.
It's about 9 degrees out, it was 20. We'll switch from burning Cherry to Sugar Maple & Beech, with the realfeel it's suppose to be -26 tonight, the cold is never ending here in The Woodlands.
We were 3 last night, low tonight 10. 37 and mixed precipitation the next two days, then back down to below normal temps again. My road, under the new snow, is glare ice.
Down 8° on the back porch this morning. I wonder if there will be records set for coldest March 14th anywhere. What do you guys have for a temp today? Ash, Ash, and more Ash burning in the Wood Gun.
Wow! Where is that? Been in the 40s here... Once again all the snow gone. I'm sure it will be cold again in a few days.
We hit - 6 overnight, it was a balmy 5 degrees this morning but is warming up some, back to burning Cherry today.
Wow. 35° on the back porch right now, with what looks like some rain. Could go down to 4° tonight! WTF?! Ash and a few pieces of Cherry in the boiler right now.
All I know Gas, is that winter isn't over until it's over, no matter the date on a calendar. We usually burn into the middle of May, but this winter.....all bets off. Winter may not be done until Junuary.
60 at 5 pm yesterday. 36 at 6 am today and hangin at 41 now. Cherry and american elm burning in the Buck.....wife just walked down the steps into the stove room and said it's hot in here.
Not sure what the temps were this morning, the radio shack special was blank on the outdoor temp, I'm thinking it was 36-37. Once we headed into Potsdam (breakfast at Eben's Hearth) it started to rain pretty good, on the way back it started to snow. http://www.ebenshearth.com/ AccuWeather has us going down to -3 with a realfeel of -21 tonight, another Sugar Maple & Beech night. For the most part today will be a day off except for some small chit I'll do around the house.
Snowing here. W.T.F.? We have about an inch of new stuff on the ground and it is still snowing. Getting colder quick too. Ahhhhh the northeast!
