Right at 40 this morning. House still warm enough, but it is cooling down and looks like it's only going to 60 today.

53 and overcast today. House has stayed at 64-65 degrees. No need for a fire yet, maybe tomorrow morning.

45 outside right now, raining but snow on the ground just west of me. Coated in wet sawdust right now, was cutting slab wood in the rain. Stove still ticking away from last nights load of pine slab.

IMG_0544.JPG 49 out. Daughter planted the seed about having a fire before she left for work. Seed blossomed with the War Department. Voila! #2 for the season.

Supposed to be low 30s by morning but I'll just burn a little gas in the boiler. Heading back up some this week, probably no fires for a few weeks yet. I did get the patio furniture stowed away today so I can work on my cord that goes there. Going to drop the cat yet and have look, ran a brush down the liner a couple of weeks ago but got nothing out of it, even the very top was clean and had just a smidge of black on the top screen.

Temperature dropped to 52°F last night in St. Louis, so my neighbors and I got a little excited about our first fire pit party. 0929172059b.jpg
