We should be in the low 80's today with high humidity (93 at the moment) so I'm pounding down the waters before I start working outside this morning.

74°F at the moment, headed up to 82°F for a high today. Resanding the spindles on the deck after taking out our 2nd porcupine this summer around 1am. Staining again shortly! :headbang:

40's are great but perhaps this is a bit too early for the 30's?!

Glad I'm up in the mountains, but mama has to drive down into the oven. Smoke in the air and a very nearby wildfire scare yesterday.

I remember a few years ago a wicked hot dry summer I can't remember the number of days over 100 and 90f but I beleive it was a record. It was just awfull many days of 104f like 3 or 4 days I remember over 100 in a week. I don't care what they say dry or what ever 105F is hot as crap. 115 is crazy. That's 7th level of .... stuff.

Yeah, we had one really hot period in 1988. I shall never forget that one. Drought to go along with the heat.

Redding is at the very north end of the Great Central Valley. Alturas is 150 miles northeast of Redding in the high desert, BFE.

Current temp 66° going down to 53° overnight. These cool nights are keeping the house somewhat cool the following day which is nice. Chance of storms tomorrow with highs in the mid 80s.
