at noon today the temp had crept up to 12c/53f with low cloud and drizzle. The house was cold so I turned the furnace on. I couldn't be bothered to have a wood stove fire. I spend so much time burning for heat during a good part of the year that Im ok with being done for awhile. I do experience separation anxiety when it ends and then child like glee when it starts up again but Im in a happy place right now.
Wouldn't be surprised if I did turn on the heat but for a room only. Some areas are just too drafty to keep it on all the time
I keep a little oil heater going downstairs in the rec room (stove room) through the summer otherwise it gets to chilly for us down there. Especially when we are wearing shorts and running around with no socks on.
33*F and still falling out side. Eucalyptus and cypress burning, 85*F in the lounge room 59*F in the bedroom, off to bed now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daytime temps are in the triple digits and the nights are in the 60's and 70's. ...........The snow in the high country is really melting fast now and the rivers are really high!
You can have those triple digits. Yesterday was really nice here as we got into the low 70's in the morning and it was around 65 most of the afternoon. That is nice. This morning we read 49 degrees. It is 67 now. Forecast 77 today.
Its absolutely beautiful out right now. 79 degrees and slowly falling, 36% humidity. So much nicer than a few days ago when it was low 70's but 87% humidity. I could break a sweat just blinking vigorously with that humidity
It's been beautiful here. Today is predicted to hit 88 though but only for one day then back into the 70's. Big rain moved through but missed us. Not by much, but it did miss us. Tis okay as we are all set for a few more days.
Talked to the people we visited with in Colorado lat evening and they said it has been HOT there since we left. Over 100f! Glad I'm not there for that!
Haven't checked in here in awhile. But it's 83. I haven't burned anything since april, but a trash pile
It's been 25 - 33 c in the uk bring on winter so I can get my fire lit . Had none to cut until today , neighbours must think I'm mad mowing my drive Beats sweating up
Lit off the 13 yesterday evening at the cottage. Four pieces of oak slab (small) and one 4" maple limb split in half is all it took to push the temp up to 80! Worked in the garage priming the walls this morning while 99 slept in. Went for a reload of coffee at 9:00 and she had another fire going in the 13! Its in the 50's today with a misty/drizzly/rainy outlook for whats left. Probably have another fire this evening!
