    We hit 58 today with the sun coming out around 3 this afternoon. They say we'll be in the 30's tonight but I doubt we'll have a fire tonight but tomorrow morning.......all bets are off.

    Stayed cool today and we'll drop to 36° F overnight. House is still plenty warm from our record setting temps the past 2 days.

    Yeah we dont need much of a reason as hoarders to want to stay warm. When you have money stacked in the back yard its a good feeling when you throw a match in the firebox. Im not sure Ill have one tonight but Im thinking I might. Had a nice one last night but the weather has turned for the better for a change. Shorts and complaining about the heat was on deck today with highs about 72f. Hottest day of the year so far Im thinking.

    I can't recall any time that in merely 2 days we went from 85° Tuesday and Wednesday and running the AC, to Friday night lighting a fire in the stove/ insert/ FP.

    I burned some Austrian pine last night in the quadrafire. It's still going on coals. 74 inside the house, 46 outside, but I saw it got down to like 42 last night. I loaded it twice last night on uglies. Ahhhh...:)

    I haven't checked on this thread for a long time as I usually don't look at old threads but decided maybe it is time to do it with this one as it seems so popular.

    We did get into the 80's and then a fire in the stove yesterday. It did eventually get into the low 50's yesterday but didn't feel like it. Rain threatened but only a few sprinkles. Looks like we wont' be so lucky today. But, believe it or not, our garden can use a bit more water. This sand does not hold moisture very well.
