    Ice/snow on the car this morning. Even hit one bridge which was a little icy on the start of my travels.

    By this evening, it warmed up nicely to the 60's!

    Low 30's tonight.

    Current temp 39° going down to 36° and loaded the oakleaf with ash and maple just a bit. Rain on and off all day and the same expected through the night.

    Should be a nice 61 deg today and sunny. IAT this am is 68 (after a small fire last night), with about 32 OAT.
    Debating what to do....have a small fire or just turn up the t-stat for a little bit.
    Might do the fire tonight before bed.
    We'll see what the day brings.
    In the meantime, more coffee................:coffee:

    Very bright and sunny here also. Should hit mid 60's today. Hovering right around freezing now, low spots colder (20's).

    43 out, drizzle and raw wind off the ocean. Burning shop cut offs and some pallet chunks to take the chill out.

    38 degrees and light rain.:( I wanted to split wood today, but have been out and everything is real wet. I'll wait a few days now I guess. I have Ash burning in the boiler.

    Sitting just below freezing, and looking for +5 C (40 F) later. A nice stack of poplar kindling that took off like the devil was chasing it.:fire:

    Kicked on the furnace earlier for a couple cycles, then shut it down.
    House temp got a wee bit cool, so wife turned it back on a few minutes ago.........I think I've awakened a monster.:hair::rofl: :lol:
    OAT is above 50 right now, and the sky is perfectly clear, so I have the splitter, tractor, and trailer set up to take care of some Spruce.
    I'll take pics and start another thread.

    We're at 43 so I made our first fire since the overnight burn. They say we'll hit 30 tonight so we'll have another overnight fire tonight.

    Stayed at the cottage but let the fire go out last night. Woke up to 30's, snow and wind this morning! Lit off the 13 and was tassty for 99 once she crawled out of the sack.

    Then.....I opened the door to re-ire the 13 and the door gasket fell out! :jaw:

    No matter, just get some hi-temp and re-install it next time.
    (hope it doesn't take 3-4 months! :rofl: :lol:)

    Looking at -2 C (29 F) and snow. April showers brings May flowers? I guess we're keeping pace with the rest of the year being above and below normal. In general it's been a cool April with a few blasts of hot. Poplar and pine chasing the chill away.
