One thermometer says 20°, the other closer to 10°. So we will just call it 15°.

27 here at 2149 hrs. I turned the Hungry Monster down 5 degrees and threw only an armload of well seasoned walnut in to get me thru the nite.
Gonna' be about the same tomorrow with a chance of 1-3" of snow.

This is what I had ready (plan to burn) for this year, this is cord not face cord. We still have a chit load of good wood seasoned if needed, it's been a tough winter but the oil truck never came up the driveway, it's been since 2010.

For next year we'll have the same ready except for the Cherry, we have 3.05 cord ready. The Oak scrounge I did might be ready, I think it was 2011.

Shoulder Season Wood - 1.8 cord still some left
Cherry - 2.44 cord / still have just under 1.22 cord left
Good Hardwood - 1.22 cord / add .61 of cord to 1.22 / still burning the .61 of a cord, that's it for the year on good hardwood.

It's about 16 here this morning. I haven't been out to shovel the snow yet to see how much we got last night. I slept in a bit today because wife and kids are delayed two hours from school. Looks like we got 4+ and it is coming down now. Caffeine going in and I'll be going out soon. How much did you get up your way Woodlands?

I'm thinking we received less than you and Massena (3 inches) we'll see what the rest of the day brings.

Either I have a bad eye on guessing how much snow we received or we're going to get more snow later on.

Supposed to get a couple inches of snow here today then get down to 5 tonight. After tomorrow it looks like we turn the corner on this winter, at least for a while. Lots of 40's/20's and a high of 57 for next Thursday!!!!

Well, I was wrong with my earlier guess of snow. When I shoveled the front walk I measured 7"! It is tough to say how much we really got though. I went back to camp and put pellets in the stove and it was closer to 5". The wind blew it around through the night so it's building up more in some areas. Still snowing here now, and they are saying more this afternoon. I was not expecting this a few days ago. It was suppose to miss us. I think we were the lucky ones though. All the snow if fluffy and light. Very light. I went up and got the parents cleaned out, the Honda snowblower is running nice. Now it is time to put the Bobcat to work. Stay safe out there guys. Roads slippery.

We're at 5-6 since my last guess, Massena is closer to 10 inches of snow.

9 inches of snow so far from this storm, the winds are picking up some which will make driving tough.

The sleds will be out in full force this weekend.

Break time. Snow has almost stopped. Another inch or two since this morning. About 22 degrees or so.

Yup. If we went back several days when you first talked about the storm you were accurate then.

Then it looked like it would miss us altogether, then it dumped on us. Like I said though. Nice light fluffy stuff. Glad it wasn't all heavy wet junk!
