Sitting at +1 C (33 F) and looking for a high of +12 C (53 F). A little bit of poplar kindling to chase the chill away.

There was a heavy frost when I got up at 730
    It's 52 already
I threw some small uglies in first thing to take the chill off.

Fires almost out and solar gain is about to kick it !

Pine rounds in the boiler, a couple good ol knotty pieces I threw to the side a couple years ago when hand splitting. It's only supposed to get down to 30 over night so I'll add a coupe splits of maple and call it good.

Yooperdave, I wish I could say the same about the bugs. The flying insects are getting up now with the warmer sun even though I still have snow in most of the yard. Found a wasp in the kitchen, and the first mosquito of the year bumbling around by the pine stacks. Going to be a bad year for them with all this late moisture, I think.

It's a balmy 46°. Haven't had any overnight freezes in more than a few nights. Even pumped out the water in the pool cover today.
