It was 35 when I called it a night and it was 7 degrees this morning with a strong wind, we burned cherry for the overnight fire.

Tonight will be colder so we'll burn a bag of pellets with some sugar maple.

It's 6 degrees with the temp trending down so we're burning some yellow birch and sugar maple in the wood stove and one bag of pellets in the pellet stove.

13 deg. here at the homestead this morning, inside was still nice and warm from last nights filling the stove at bed time. There was no time for me to re-light off of the coals and keep an eye on it before work. So Mrs. Mt. Man will be doing that right about now. I filled my porch boxes over the last weekend with some good stuff, and some shoulder season mix. I haven't been using much s/s wood. Cheers!

We had - 4 this morning, about 1:30 hours south of us they had -18 in Saranac Lake NY.

The basement is 77 and the temp up here is 72. The pellet stove is off and the liberty has a load of cherry going.

Sounds like you guys are having what I had earlier this week temp wise.

Our wild leeks were coming up before received our 22 inches of the white stuff, the snow with some spring rains will make it a good year for the leeks.
