Stove has been cold since yesterday as we were busy. Its 4c and raining heavily. Tired of a cold house so a fire building I will go! Pine and fir will get this shack toasty!

We had a high of 41 today with a strong sun that felt great, it's 27 with the temp trending down so we're burning some cherry and red maple tonight.

It was 9° an hour ago, now 22°F. Loaded the oakleaf with birch and ash, headed to the upper 30s today. Should continue to melt the white stuff!

Been burning some birch and cherry (stove not fully packed either) here now that the temps are upper 20s overnight and upper 40s for the daytime highs. Keeping the house at 70-72. Headed for close to 60 today so with solar gain, I'm letting the stove go out till tonight to avoid over heating. Will probably only need night fires for a couple days as its supposed to be above normal temps. May let the NG furnace carry the daytime for the rest of the season as its cheap enough to run.

We're sitting in +3 C and heading for +5 C. Or 37 heading for 41. Nasty winds though, 20-30 mph now, and supposed to increase later upwards of 40-45 mph. Poplar in the stove.

32°F here, but feels warmer. I just threw a whole bunch of credit card offers onto a bed of coals. Maybe I should just buy a paper shredder.

Still cold here, it was low 20s early AM but up to the mid 30s now. Very windy and gloomy today, burning some hickory and red oak. House is a nice toasty 78° right now..... Ran out of pellets for the cellar though, a little chilly down there. I think I'm done running the pellet stove for the year.

Rode the bike out to supper this evening. The air temperature was a nice 53ºF at the time so no need for any heat. It is all the way down to 49 now so no need to get excited for me.

41 out now. Burninating elm and basswood in the quadrafire. It got to 53 outside today. Tomorrow it'll drop a few degrees, but the fire goes down to coals during the day, and back to half choochin' at night.
