Teens here now with -4 coming Saturday night. Burning pine all day since I was home a few times while getting more red maple from grandpa's yard. Got a wheelbarrow full of red oak and hickory on deck for the overnight. Been picking out some Apple and big splits of hickory to go through Saturday night. It'll be cold, bit damm it'll sure smell good around here! Maybe I'll hang a rack of ribs in the chimney..
My current temp is 0. 20's today; 40's tomorrow; 50's Sunday. Springy enough Gasifier ? I'll send it in it's way!
Currently sitting at -15 C (5 F) but supposed to hit just above freezing by late afternoon. Burning some slightly beaver chewed poplar.
Forecast low of 7-8 last night, and woke to -3. House was still at 68, so I'm happy. Might hit 20 today. There is, and will be fire. Temps going back up starting Sunday. I should be able to get up to check the flue this weekend.
beautiful day 16 degrees brisk wind.. low tonight is negative yup ... mud stiffening before next warm up... burning some ugly splits.. but house is warm
We had 8 this morning but we had the wood & the pellet stoves going last night so it was 70 or 73 upstairs depending on which room you were in. It's suppose to be colder tonight so we'll do the same.
Current temp 15°F headed down to - 4°F overnight. Loaded the oakleaf with a rather small load until I stuff it tonight with ash, birch, and maple.
We're heading to minus 2 tonight with a realfeel of -25, the warmer temps come back in on Sunday. The wood & pellet stove will be going tonight.
She warmed up nice today, although windy. Hit +3 C ( 37 F), but a strong sun, if that makes sense? Dry as a popcorn fart poplar feeding the machine, and not very much either.
It's about 7 on the back porch now with a breeze to make it colder. I've got Ash and Maple in the boiler and I'm charging up the basement like a heat battery. Currently 78 down there. It should be 82 down there by 9.
12 here. Fire in the kicker stove but its a small one. Winds starting tomorrow and tomorrow overnight should be 20-30mph.
Teens here, real feel of -8. Just loaded fat with hickory and red oak, and a little pine to fill the crevices. Big stack of the same next to the owb so I don't have to hoof it across the yard with the wheelbarrow at 5am before leaving for work. Got some Apple and hickory picked out for tomorrow night - low of -4 with 30mph winds predicted. Winter's last gasp, I hope. I want to sleep in Sunday morning before taking the last of a couple huge red maples out of grandpa's yard. So I gotta load heavy Saturday night!
