Cooler weather came back, looking at -15 C (5 F) at the moment. Some rough looking pine feeding the reactor.

Right at 33 on the back porch this afternoon. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds. I've got Maple and Pine going in the boiler.

Back down to 30 degrees tonight in St. Louis. I think I'm going to burn some old bradford pear I have to add a little warmth.

Right where I want to be.
Snow, rain, ice, maybe more snow, and some slightly colder temps since yesterday.
We're just above freezing right now. IAT is 72 as I made a very small Oak fire a couple hours ago.
Might do another small one soon, then I'll have a good-ish overnighter.
Still splitting down the larger splits for the daytime fires. Lots of wood left.

ETA: Almost forgot....thunder and lightning this pm. The dogs don't like it.

Just loaded the owb with pine, boxelder, and a mystery split that I couldn't identify in the dark. No bark, pretty small split, but heavy.. As I putter around out here in the garage, I have identified it as Apple! Man it smells good out here now. Gonna be hard to put down the tools and Genesee and go inside. Might have to crack a window tonight. :)

30 this morning. Ash and Maple burning away in the boiler. Should only need to burn part of the morning for today. Suppose to go to 64 this afternoon, then back down into the 20s overnight.

Still snsowing here. Haven't checked how much more we got overnight, but this dog is going to have to put the shovel down again!

I think the temps turned around before they hit the single digits last night. Got that going for me, anyway....

45º out now, hit 79º yesterday. Stove has been cold all week and I took the opportunity to run the brush down the chimney, drop the cat shield and brush the ash off, and clean the glass. Heading for low 20's tonight so I'll be firing back up.

It's a balmy wood stove heat deprived 55ºF outside this morning.
Guessers claim 61 for the high for the day.
I hear red wing black birds sounds down near the lake.

Supposed to be cold tomorrow and then again by the end of next week.

    Cold ashes in the stove.

After a week or so of balmy weather I woke up in the middle of the night to 28ºF, windy and a power outage. The wind must have been whipping the power lines around because we had 3 more power outages of a few minutes to a half hour each before they came back on to stay. At dawn it was snowing lightly and now at about 1PM it is all the way back up to 31ºF.

Same here Oldman47. We had some pretty strong winds last night here in St. Louis. I'm lucky my power lines are underground. Temps here are at about 30°F.
