We had 23 this morning so I took some ashes out and started a fire with some beech and some sugar maple.

22 here, watching the snow fall. Loaded up for the day with some pine, hickory, and red oak. I've been finding that a few extra pine splits underneath the typical load of good stuff extends my burn time and residual coals by a couple hours, so I'm rolling with it now after having typically used the pine just for quick warm ups and shoulder season fires.

cause your new to these winter things... we got to tell the rules ;) the news people make every storm out to be a OMG blizzard.. when your a northerner.. ya got to act like this is no big deal.. anything less than 2 feet on the ground is basically a yawner... unless your from Boston or city folk.. the valentine day blizzard of 04 dropped somewhere around 40 inches here... that was fun...

just watching your back... til then play on:handshake: and enjoy:D

Last year's 31 incher was fun. We love the snow, 40 inches....... that would certainly be a test. I'm in Vermont multiple times a week. There are certainly some areas that are deep as chit.

Sounds super fun! We have snow shoes, love trekking through the woods after a good snow! Snow has started, lightly, winds picking up. Thinking about taking a nap.

Currently 50 and cloudy. Turned the temps down to 160 degrees yesterday, maybe curb the appetite on the Greedy Beast a little. The wife had the windowstats open last nite...burning a mixed lot.

It was very windy today. Too windy to enjoy being outside at all.

Mon will be in the low 40's and some sunshine. Gotta beat that snow down!!!

Current temp 21°F which looks to be the low for the night. The winds should pickup, giving us a wind chill much cooler. Will only put a small load of ash and maple in tonight, since the house is pretty warm.

22 here with a good foot of snow. No fire as I have to roof rake over the stove as the ice dams are forming on the roof. I spent the first hour and a half snowblowing my way into the driveway after coming home from night shift. I am beat, after sleep I'll go at it again.

Great weather here, looking at +5 C or 40 F. Too much wind but whatever. No wood burning until tonight, after I drop some venison on the BBQ.:grizz:
