Currently about 13 degrees at 2:00. Still windy off and on. Burning up some Pine today because I'm home and can keep reloading. Radar is showing we should be getting the crappy stuff in the next couple hours.
That's one area where our weather has been odd the last 5-10 years. Sure, we get snow, but when I was younger there was much more it seems. Not crazy like what you describe, but you could hit the ditch here these days (just for fun) with most mid size vehicle, and probably make it out.
We were in the 20's last night so we just ran a bag of pellets, we were in the 20's this morning so we switched to wood. We'll go with just wood tonight.
41/73ºF outside/inside put a couple pine splits in to take it to 9PM and will put some oak in then but that's probably it. Supposed to be almost 60 tomorrow . Good time to clean out some ashes. Then top off the wood bins. Because they've changed the forecast from 1-3 inches of snow for Thursday to 8-12.
Current temp 21° headed down to 20°. Cleaned the pellet and wood stove after work, then plowed the 6" we got, with another 4"- 8" on the way tonight through tomorrow morning. The winds are whipping on and off, and won't light the woodstove for another hour or so.
Well, the snow started probably right after I peeked out the window this morning. It came in bands of snow squalls that made driving miserable. Ended up with around 8" of heavy stuff. Not wet sticky snow, just heavy snow. Took 45 min to shovel once the work day was over-as opposed to maybe 10 min tops. Temps dropping tonight till Fri. Oh yeah, supposed to get more snow too!
It was 29 and rain/ice this morning and most of the day with no wind now the winds picking up and we are at 53 and rain supposed to start 55+ mph gusts here soon and start dropping temp I think
Cold stove. Currently 62F out at 9:50 PM... that's silly. Won't need fire overnight. Forecast is mid 50s tomorrow, then turning colder with 4-8 inches of snow forecast for Thursday morning. It it comes, will be our first measurable of the season. Kiddo can't wait... I guess I would like to see one snow as well.
Snow came back ! Just ran out to fire up the OWB and was greeted with a fresh 3" on the deck. That makes 11" for today. Stuff is starting to wear out it's welcome.... Temps are down to single digits now.
I have 35* and rain, snow, sleet and ice. Roads are ugly, but we are warm with a load of beech, oak and ash in the boiler. Tomorrow could be interesting.
I was in Traverse City at 6:00 and it was all rain. We drove home and was watching the hockey game, around 8 I went to the store and wished I would have had skates.
Wednesday it's going up to 60°, and Thursday night we're getting a snow and ice storm. Could get up to a foot. Crazy azz weather.
Current temp 33° headed all the way up to 41° today. We ended up with only a few inches of snow, sleet with .2 of ice. We lost power overnight but it's on here now. Very strong winds gusts overnight pelting the windows with sheets of ice blown off of the gazebo. Loaded the oakleaf with ash and maple, temps to plummet again later bringing with it some more snow tonight late through tomorrow.
40 outside and dropping through out today with rain supposed to change to snow this afternoon. Loading with cherry, hickory and maybe a piece of locust.......heading off to look at some wrecks, bring it.
Currently 82* at 11pm it was 96* today forecast 99* tomorrow. It's going to be tough sleeping tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
