Colder here. What's your temp? What ya burnin?

- 14.3 on the Radio Shack Special this morning when I got up. We're burning some Beech with Soft Maple this morning, the bottom of this rack.

 

Went down 1 more degree to -26C (about -15 F). That's Portland's official temperature. I'm generally about 2 degrees colder. Just got back from walking the dog, and it is COLD.

 

And I thought it was cold at 2°F. -15 is downright frigid! Brrrr.

 

Only minus 7c = 19f in the shade right now sherwood but just found out about some more fun coming later

KINGSTON - Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Kingston and area:
Snow squalls possible this afternoon into this evening.
A snow squall band is developing over Western Lake Ontario. With the southwesterly winds increasing this afternoon, snow squalls are possible from Trenton area and thorugh Picton-Sandbanks Park this afternoon into this evening. The snow bands could move into Kingston and Cobourg area this evening. Local snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm in heavy snow bands are possible. In addition, reduced visibilities in snow and blowing snow may cause hazardous travel conditions.

They werent calling for this when i left for town earlier

My snow pile looks about like yours.

 

Heading toward zero tonight with windchill at -10º.....have some walnut and cherry in the stove. Cat was up around 1750º when I got back home from a hair cut, closed the air almost off and had one of the best secondary light shows I've ever seen from this stove yet.

 

Staying cold here as well. About 15 right now with a low of 10 tonight. Getting ready to load up the boiler and hit the hay.

 

I think we get below 10 tonight, it's been AO (all oak) for about two months now, I'm stocked with oak for the next 3 years, I save it for the meat of winter and use the lighter stuff before and after.

 

14 degrees at the moment, getting ready to load the Liberty up with Beech and Sugar Maple.

 

Down to 8 degrees right now. Wood Gun chowing through some White Ash and a little White Pine. Another cold one. I hope there is no wind today.

 

-8 when I got up this morning.. forecast had been calling for 6-8 above.

Woke up to -15 this AM. Coldest day of the year so far.

 

It's 14 degrees this morning, we have some Cherry,Beech and some Sugar Maple going in the Liberty.

We're burning some of next years better hardwood, I'm thinking we'll switch back to Cherry near the end of the month.

Hmm. I feel okay looking at some of your temperatures. Not too bad here.

 

Finally made it into the teens today late in the afternoon sitting at 13º right now and supposed to go negative tonight. Have hard maple and cherry kickin heat right now and some big chunks of red oak and beech on deck.

 

Wind here is nasty! Temp at 9. Going to run through a whole chamber full of wood again tonight!
