Warming up today, suppose to hit 30. Gonna be a good day to get the mutts out in the woods, they've been patient the last week with cold temperatures and busy schedules. Just burning some red maple and ash. Hanging out with the boy, drinking coffee letting mom sleep in, boy was up every couple hours last night.
28° and locust in the box keeping the chill at bay. We got a bit of snow last night which is slowing down the splitting a bit as I have to shovel off the porch before I start.
30 this morning up to 38 now. Stove has been running at 500 all morning with a small fire of Red Oak. 72 in the house.
30 at the workshop before the nc-30 warmed it up to 60. Then I left. 3" of fluffy white stuff-really easy to shovel!
Having to burn some silver birch iv had three year. Wound fire right down to a glow so it's not gone in a flash for the simple reason it's evaporating my jd
Yes to warm water for the chickens on bellow freezing mornings. And to put a little moisture back in the air.
18* and I tossed in a few pieces of ash, to keep the temps up until I fill it up with beech in a bit. I got about a half a cord of rounds split today and I am feeling it now.
31 outside 75 inside just loaded it up with some red oak an some hickory. Sent from my SM-S906L using Tapatalk
They say we're heading down to 8 so the liberty is loaded up with Sugar Maple and the P.S. is set on 78.
19* and I just stoked the beast with beech and ash. It's supposed to warm up to 33* that should save some wood.
Current temp 11° headed up to 19° today. Loaded the oakleaf with the usual mix, then went plowing the 4" of snow we got last night.
We had 11 this morning with the temp up here at 71 and the basement 79. If we get the ice some site is predicting(0.68 of an inch) then things will be pretty chitty around here tomorrow.
