highs in the mid 40* here burning cottonwood in the owb. it would be nice to see 20 for a high. that way I can get back to the woods and do some cutting. but this mud makes a guy stay inside.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cold, probably fire up the stove again tonight and all day tomorrow. The usual Winter weather will be back by Thursday night. Looks like today is the warmest day of the week.
About 25 early here. Ash and Maple in the boiler for the overnight. Slight winds. They have changed anticipated snowfall to 1-3" tonight and 1-3" Tuesday morning.
Good morning, a damp, foggy 48 with a chance of rain. Been burning a mix of mostly soft and hard maple, just a couple hunks at a time. Also shutting the owb down before i leave for work. Too soggy/muddy to make more far'wood.
Rain front past through, mother nature took the trees back. 1st picture before most of it floated off. 2nd pic is what's left 3rd pic is today's answer to mother nature. Temperature down to 50 and dropping. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
Temperature dropped some, down to 25. No snow yet, but they say we are do. Weather advisory in effect until 10pm Tuesday. Currently have Pine in the boiler and Ash is all lined up for the overnight burn.
37ºF OAT 20-30 mph winds, maybe more sometimes. rain doesn't seem too bad yet, put my rain gauge that can't freeze out for the night/day tomorrow. Filled the wood bin with 3 or 4 days worth of my 4 year aged red oak. red oak in the stove
Temps staying in low 40's. The boiler was 1/2 full of mixed wood last nite, it'll be good until noon.
It's 29 with freezing rain and sleet this morning with a combo of maples in the Liberty heating the house.
About 25. We got lucky here. Little freezing rain this morning. Little sleet and snow. Maybe an inch total. Pine in the boiler.
In the middle of a storm now, up to 12 inches of snow and then wind. Mixture of Red Elm, Green and White Ash and a little Bur Oak once in a while.
