53 here. Barely a fire going in the stove. Nursing along with small oak splits. A couple of windows open to change out the inside air. Sun is setting soon. Windows will get shut. Winter? What Winter?

Here in Central Illinois it got to over 64ºF today.
For those of you in the north-east, you have some warm weather on the way.

Heading for the 60's yet again today, but it looks as if I will be firing the stove back up tomorrow. So today we will just rest in God's plan for the weather as I have no say in it.

In the 60's here. First time I've ever mowed the yard in January. I have a lot of oak trees that dropped their leaves late. I've had more cold starts on the stove than ever before.

It was 99 here today! So far it's been a cool summer. You must have some of our heat up there. This time of year it's not unusual to see 115*F

    66 here now at midnight.

We had 34 earlier this morning, I'm not sure what's going in the Liberty (coals) but I'll be making a fire soon.

I have been through that 115° enough to know that 66° you get at night feels downright cold.

Yep Friday night I damm near lit the fire, only reason I did not was I knew it was going to be hot over the weekend.

It's been a few months now since I had a fire going and I'm starting to really miss it.

Burning up some uglies and coal.
Way off on usage this year. Was hoping to empty attached shed this winter but as long as theres little to no snow right now I'll fill the furnace room from the heaphausen out back. One stack at the back of attached shed has been in there 8+ years.
Checked propane tank and its 3/4 full. Thought it may have been less due to letting it cover heat needs more than normal.
Getting close to half way through heating season.

It's not cold but it sure is windy and rainy. IMG_20170122_082122948.jpg I have a pile of rounds about to float away if the creek comes up another foot. IMG_20170122_082119222.jpg IMG_20170122_082048640.jpg IMG_20170122_082754591.jpg IMG_20170121_184332126.jpg
