Considering myself lucky at 24°. It'll be single digits overnight for the next couple days though. Oak and maple will be going in the box.

-3 right now. I fell asleep on the couch, right by the stove. Looking at hot embers from all of that primo stuff, up 20 minutes earlier than typical.

I'll reload right before going to work., But I'll push the choocher valve in to get some more air to all those hardwood coals until then.

5º outside, 70º in, the boiler was running a bit also this morning. White oak, locust and ash going in the Buck in a few, then I'm off to see the wizard.

Right where I want to be.
Awoke to 9 and a lot of coals. This Maple continues to impress me.
I got up around 7, but went back to bed and didn't get back up until 10. :hair::hair:
Still lots of coals and the house was 68. Put in 2 more splits n/s, then 2 e/w, and before I even got the door shut, one of 'em was going up in flames.
House is back up to 72, and I turned down the DV to it's lowest setting. High should be 16 today, which isn't a problem, even if I turn off the DV.

Had to dig a little to avoid some low BTU black locust and a lonely piece of red elm. She's packed pretty tight but I ran out of small stuff to fill in at the top. This load will last until 9AM....Stir the coals... Reload around 10AM.
