Had freezing rain overnight with temps rising, just rain now. Winds gusting to around 30mph. Won't get down to freezing until around 5pm later. I'll let the stove go cold.

Got warmer overnight. Up to 54. 70 inside. Didn't load up the stove for overnight. So, not burning a thing at the moment. Will clean out the stove, including popping open the top and clear out any fly ash collecting around the cat. Then, fire it up and open some windows. Take advantage of warm temps to change inside air.

It's 35 this morning with the driveway looking like a skating rink, I'll be spending time sanding it.

Another load of cherry going in the liberty.

Looking at -20 C (-4 F) at the moment. According to the weather network we have about 3 decent days and then back into somewhat of a deep freeze.

Poplar and an ugly piece of willow feeding the reactor.

Or carrying the snow sled from the trailer to the side of the yard:bug:

I'm 250+, and I nearly got blown off of my feet yesterday with 50+ mph gusts. They were really sustained winds, but nasty.

It's 24 out, feels like 12 with the wind chill. Burning beech in the quadrafire. Had the stove up to 670° before closing the choocher valve a bit.

Nice and toasty in the house.

Bout 50 here, but the wind is blowin. Actually calm compared to Christmas Day. Blew 40 with 50-70 gusts. Lots of limbs down in my yard so I'm burning linden today! [IMG]
Also burning some ash in the house warmer.
