The Beech that we have down is on the side of a hill, so once the footing improves that will be cut first.

    What?????

    Yuk!

Back out to bring more darn wood in.

I'm going to run out near the end of Feb at this rate.

Have to get into the woods and cut some long dead tree tops....which 10 more inches of snow won't make any easier. HAD been thinking of doing some cutting as soon as the wind chills got a bit more bearable. I have real trouble keeping my finger tips warm.

Just checked, environment Canada is still calling for 1-2 inches tonight and flurries much of the day tomorrow, 0 F tonight. That's in Kingston, their nearest station to us....

Snow just let up got ~2.5" - I know a dusting everywhere up north, but it has shut down every major road. Mercury just dropped past 18
It was a light fluffy snow so took the blower out(as I don't own a snow shovel:smoke:) and made a couple lanes down the steep azz driveway - I can't play the lame southern excuse that the roads are too bad to get to work:whistle:

Cold, wind but nothing for snow at this time, maybe 1-2 inches of the white stuff tonight.

Another day of this, then we get a break.

-17º here this morning. Started out from here toward my first stop of the day and hit -22º in the bottom land not far from home. Was in the negative most of the day and I had 3 vehicles I had to look at outside today, but at least the wind was too bad. Made it up to 5º by the time I headed home. Sitting at 3º right now and I have a pile of small maple, cherry and oak splits burning since I got home late. If I didn't have an insert I think I might sit on top of the stove and see if I can't get my back side warmed up from the day. Wife has my birthday cake in the oven and I have presents to open (real close to the stove).

Thought you guys would appreciate one of my b-day presents. This will help keep the carpet a little cleaner when I bring wood in from the patio. Swags had one posted awhile back and I showed the wife.

Happy birthday. Those totes are great. The trick with them is to have two. It's a lot easier on your back. You can carry more wood with less effort when it is balanced.

First temp prediction was for 0 last night then they changed it to -5 got up this morning an it's -19 on my thermometer. Way to go wight the weather predictions! They say it might hit 20 today but yesterday they said it would hit 17 and our high temp for the day was aactually a whopping 7 degrees.
